Advanced Science Teacher, Clarke County High School (Current)

Prepare daily lesson plans for AP environmental science, AP forensic science, AP chemistry classes, and Anatomy & Physiology, supervise lab procedures, and conduct daily instruction to students.  Coordinate differentiated testing, and organized reinforcement materials to meet each student’s particular needs, as well as planning for the Exit Exam preparatory exam materials.  Also, instructed Two A program where all students were accepted into their first colleges of their choice.

Science Teacher, Jackson-Madison County School System (2001-2011)

Prepare daily lesson plans, supervise lab procedures, and conduct daily instruction to students.  Administer T-CAP tests, and organized reinforcement materials to meet each student’s particular needs, as well as planning for the T-CAP preparatory exam services.  On site 504 team member.  Experience working with STAR system for the school each academic year.  Title-1 site based committee member and School Improvement Plan reviewer.

 Jaguar Learning Academy

Developed, designed, and implemented an after-school program that is curriculum based.  Worked with the University of Tennessee at Martin to form community partnerships and implement a management team to oversee the applicants.  Worked with Mr. Boyd and Mrs. Anderson to oversee the financial portion of the program.  Worked with various media outlets (WBBJ, The Jackson Sun, News Talk 101.5, and Lamar Advertising) to ensure community awareness and public involvement.

Pharmacology Instructor, West Tennessee Business College (2001-2003)

Instructed pharmacology students during summer terms, supervised lab procedures and experiments, as well as serving on the academic board to help design curriculum for anatomy & physiology students.

Bio

My name is Becky Alexander.  I am from Jackson, Tennessee.  I reside in Thomasville.  I am a graduate of Northside High School.  I currently attend First Baptist Church of Thomasville.

I attended the University of Mobile and majored in Biology/Chemistry with a minor in Education.  I attended the University of Tennessee and received my Masters in Administration & Supervision.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, anything to do with water, spending time with my family, and watching ALABAMA football. Roll Tide!!!!!
