Cystic Fibrosis... adding tomorrows every day.
The Clarke County High School SGA/FOCUS Group, in conjunction with Tri-County Pearls, an Interest Group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Culturama, a youth group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., will sponsor a Pumpkin Sale during the month of October to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide).  In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.  With your help, we can make a difference by helping others.  Help us by purchasing a pumpkin for $1 from any SGA member, Ms. Sharp, or Ms. Roberts. The pumpkins will be displayed in the front area of the school.  "It's the Great Pumpkin." Thank you for your cooperation.
