SGA & FCCLA Serving the Community |
The SGA and FCCLA students participated in two exciting projects in December. The students visited the Thomasville Nursing Facility and participated in the ringing of bells for the Salvation Army. On December 21, several members of the Student Government Association and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America organizations visited the Thomasville Nursing Facility. The staff and residents were happy to see us. We brought in a basket of goodies for the residents. We were extremely pleased to complete this special project and hope to complete other projects at the nursing facility. One the next day, the group was active again. Several members came out to ring bells for the Salvation Army in front of Dirt Cheap in Thomasville. The students worked in shifts from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. It was a very cold day, but there was a good turn out of members. The students felt that it was a great experience and they felt good knowing that they had helped someone in need. Special thanks to all students participating in these events. Thank you for helping us to help others.
